ACT VERSION 19 RELEASED

Lorcan Malone, SwiftPageSwiftPage has released Act v.19 in North America, Australia and New Zealand, and International English. The software include the new Act Companion mobile app, along with 30 revamped standard reports and updates to the Web API that are said to produced increased integration and increased compatibility with Microsoft Office.

SMITH REPLACING LIDDELL AT XERO

Chris Liddell, XeroChris Liddell has resigned as chair of Xero Ltd. after accepting a position as assistant to Donald Trump. He is being replaced by Xero director Graham Smith. Liddell told the New Zealand-based company that accepting the position required him to resign the position he has held for three years.

UNANET OPENS NEW HEADQUARTERS

Fran Craig, Unanet Unanet has opened a new headquarters in Dulles, Loudon County, Va. The $7.3-million expansion is said to be a response to accelerated growth from sales of its project financial software for professional services firms, particularly government contractors, which was released in July 2015.

QLIK BUYS MAPPING SOFTWARE BIZ

Anthony Deighton, QlikAnalytics software company, Qlik has acquired Idevio, which makes geographically related software and services. Radnor, Pa.-based Qlik says the move extends its mapping capabilities and also supports a broad range of advanced geoanalytic use cases. Terms were not disclosed.

SPECTRUM FEATURES TO BE SHOWN

Scott Rosenbloom, Dexter+ChaneyDexter+Chaney will be showing enhancements to Spectrum Construction software this month. Among the features being demonstrated this month at the World of Concrete Trade Show is Spectrum Ticketing, a cloud-based application described as providing "a unified web, mobile and scale house solution for bulk material weight ticketing".

Haran Sold, Unit4Unit4 has hired Haran Sold to fill the new position of as EVP of domestic businesses. Sold will be global representative for all domestic businesses in the Unit4 Executive Committee, with GMs of those businesses reporting to him. SAP RAMPS UP ON IoT

Hans Thalbauer, SAPSAP, which has pledged to invest around $2.1 billion in the Internet of Things over five years, has named its IoT portfolio SAP IoT. The name is taken from the inventor, Leonardo da Vinci. The software giant plans a global IoT event that is scheduled to be held from July 11–12 in Frankfurt, Germany, at the KAP EUROPA.
