SAGE TO BUY FAIRSAIL

Stephen Kelly, SageThe Sage Group has entered an agreement to purchase Fairsail, an HR software company based in the United Kingdom. Sage already had minority interest in the company, which had launched Sage People, a shared project, in 2016. Fairsail is reported to have annual revenue of about $12.5 million.

INTACCT ADDS (MAINLY) NETSUITE VARS

IntacctIntacct's recent addition of VARs does not exactly look like a flight of resellers from NetSuite. But some notable dealers that carry NetSuite have been signing up with Intacct and Acumatica. In particular, CohnReznick, which was the major dealer catch announced at NetSuite's SuiteWorld conference in May, signed on with San Jose, Calif.-based Intacct.

"They were all cloud deals," she said during this week's 2016 earnings webcast. Financial results for the year ended December 31 were not quite phenomenal but were improved.

Sophia Leguillette, SAP SuccessFactorsSophia Leguillette, who was VP of marketing when she left Sage in January 2016, has landed a top job with an SAP operation. Leguillette has become head of global marketing at SAP SuccessFactors. Her LinkedIn page shows she assumed her new duties last month.

Charles Phillips, InforThe $2-billion investment by Koch Equity Development into Infor was a bonanza for six top executives, who received one-time bonuses. The awards were made when the deal closed this month. Charles Phillips, CEO of the giant software company was given $32.7 million to lead the pack.

SAAS SAPS PRODWARE SALES

Prod wareThe switch from license sales to subscriptions helped push revenue for the Prodware Group down by 3.2 percent for the year ended December 31. Revenue totaled about $186.1 million in 2016, which was down .8 percent on a comparable basis. The company said SaaS sales rose to about $19.6 million, up 46.6 percent over 2015.
