Acquisitions completed in 2015 played a major role in financial results for SilverSun Technologies for the year ended December 31. SilverSun, parent of reseller SWK Technologies, reported 2016 revenue of $34.1 million, an increase of 23.4 percent from $27.6 million in 2015.

With all the talk of the Trump administration's alleged foreign connections, Hollywood is talking about a sequel to the movie "Moscow on the Hudson." It will be called "Moscow on the Potomac—Russian to Judgment". Vladimir Putin will be played by Paul Reubens (PeeWee Herman) and Donald Trump will be played by Kevin Klein.

Avalara has hired Tony Susak as general manager for its communications business. He was director of tax for AT&T from January 2015 until taking the position. Before that he was tax director at Cricket Communications starting in December 2012 and was senor tax manager at OnStar from April 2006 through October 2012. Avalara's Communications business provides applications and services to small and large telecommunications companies.

Nonprofit software vendor Abila has added  features to its cloud-based association management system Abila netFORUM Pro. Among the additions is integration with the Austin, Texas-based company's MIP Fund Accounting, accomplished via a financials export CSV File format.
