BLACKBAUD PROMOTES AI

Mike Gianoni, Blackbaud Blackbaud strongly promoted artificial intelligence as this week it reported financial results for the first quarter ended March 31. “We’re enabling data-driven decisions by pairing the industry’s largest data set with the industry’s most advanced set of AI capabilities, ultimately having greater impact on our customers and their missions,” CEO Mike Gianoni said during an earnings webcast.

NORTH AMERICA TRAILS SAGE HALF

Stephen Kelly, SageWith North America revenue growth trailing other regions, the Sage Group laid out plans to improve performance in its second half. In releasing results for the company for the six months ended March 31, the company said that included “Challenges in the partner channel are starting to be addressed in the region, with increased focus on the top 30 partners to drive recurring revenue growth.”

UNIT4 RELEASES WANDA BOT

Stephen Seiber, Unit4Unit4 became the latest financial software vendor to release a bot. The Netherlands-based company has placed Wanda, built on the company’s People Platform, into the market as part of its Spring ’17 launch and the company termed it a milestone on Unit’s plan to product self-driving enterprise software.

Thomas Honoré, ColumbusColumbus turned in 12.7-percent revenue growth for the first quarter ended March 31. And its North American revenue was up by 14.8 percent despite the fact chargeable hours for its SMB business in United States declined to 55 percent from 58 percent in last year's corresponding period.

SAP GROWS CLOUD AND LICENSES

Bill McDermott, SAPMost software companies are seeing cloud revenue increase while license sales drop. But for its first quarter ended March 31, SAP grew both segments. Overall revenue reached about $5.76 billion for the most recently ended quarter, up 12 percent from a year earlier.

DYNAMICS REVS UP 10 PERCENT

MicrosoftDynamics revenue increased by 10 percent in Microsoft's third quarter ended March 31. The company said that was 11 percent in constant currency. In its SEC filing recently, Microsoft did not provide actual revenue figures. Nor did it publish the kind of figures that allowed us to calculate actual revenue for the second quarter.
