AccountMate has linked its financial software to the payment processing services of Accelerated Payment Technologies. APT’s X-Charge system provides automated payment processing to AccountMate users. X-Charge handles credit and debit card payments, gift cards and e-checks, with real-time access to customer information.

Intuit’s QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions reached 60,000 active subscribers on October 30 as the mid-market product moved up by 3,000 customers from three months earlier. The company gave those numbers as it issued its financial results for the first quarter ended October 30. That’s the third quarter in row the number of active subscribers - those on maintenance as opposed to those who buy and don't stay - went up by 3,000. And the growth pushes the total to a third higher than it was at the end of fiscal 2010 on July 31, 2010.

Given that the firm was named to Microsoft’s Inner Circle this year, it’s interesting that the CEO and founder of reseller Norriq has gone out the door this week. The Danish firm has issued a press release stating that the board of directors has dismissed CEO Bo Martinsen. (Bo knows Dynamics?) The company also hired a new CFO for its French business. Norriq is the third important Dynamics reseller in Europe to undergo serious changes. That includes the sale this month of reselling operations by both Qurius and Columbus IT Partner to Prodware. All four companies made the Inner Circle for 2011.

Alfapeople, a Dynamics AX retail specialist, has opened operations in Guatemala. That’s the second new country entered this year by the Microsoft reseller—the first came when Alfapeople entered the United States in late winter. Based in Europe, Alfapeople seems to be moving the opposite direction of Columbus IT Partner, as noted in another item.

Alchemex has launched Sage PFW ERP Intelligence, an Excel-based business intelligence application. What is more interesting is what the press release announcing the product doesn’t say. It doesn’t say that Alchemex is now owned by Sage and other than the fact that Sage officially confirmed the purchase; nothing has been put on either companies’ website about the deal.

Sererra, which carries a variety of SaaS-based applications, has launched a Facebook Webstore Application for those utilizing the NetSuite eCommerce platform. The Sererra product enables NetSuite users to have catalog information, checkout, customer center and functionalities hosted in NetSuite. However, customers do not have to leave Facebook to shop or complete the purchase transaction. Sererra carries a wide line of SaaS products including Intacct, SAP Business ByDesign and Salesforce.com While it was a Platinum sponsor of Intacct's recent reseller conference, the products it has developed for the cloud are more concentrated on NetSuite.

BDO Solutions, the consulting and reselling arm of BDO Canada, is expanding into the European market in cooperation with other BDO firms. The reseller, which handles Dynamics GP and NAV, has gotten operations up and running with BDO Netherlands, according to Michael Stranz, a partner in the Waterloo, Ontario, office. The reselling business, which employs 70, is also planning to move into other European countries

Exact has released Exact Macola On Demand, a SaaS-based version of Macola Manufacturing Pro which was introduced in September. The new system, whether in its SaaS or on-premise versions, also offers ERP and CRM functionality. The system has 20 modules and it does, well you know, what online systems generally do, 24/7 and yadda, yadda, yadda.

NET@WORK HIRES SAGE'S ELLERTSON

New York-based Net@Work, one of Sage's largest American resellers, has hired Seth Ellertson from Sage North America as director of client care and inside sales. Ellertson, who spent 13 years at Sage, was a sales director who was responsible for CRM revenue for Sage in Eastern North America, including new sales, installed-base sales, and maintenance and support contracts.
MICROSOFT TAPS TRIBRIDGE AS MASTER VAR

Microsoft has tapped Tribridge as its third Master VAR. The selection was disclosed yesterday inside the company and is expected to be formally announced tomorrow, according to a source familiar with the process. And so the game begins as this apparently brings the selection process to an end. Tampa, Fla.-based Tribridge joins the SBS Group and Interdyn Socius as the three companies responsible for recruiting Sales Affiliates who will purchase their Dynamics products through Master VARs in the United States. Tribridge officials have not responded to requests for comment.
