INFOR BUYS ENERGY MANAGEMENT LINE

infor logoInfor, which has been most often known for its ERP acquisitions, has purchased the ENXSuite product line. The company described the products as "a natural complement to Infor10 EAM's convergence of energy and asset management ..." Cloud-based, the ENXSuite enables companies to plan, analyze and manage their energy and sustainability footprint. The combination of the applications is aimed at helping organizations determine the causes of energy waste and expense.

Doug DeaneSage 50, 100, 300, 500. ... Hike?  Sage North America detailed the actual numbers for rebranding its financial products in a partner conference call this week. To say there is concern in the channel is an understatement But Doug Deane, CEO of San Diego-based DSD Business Systems noted, "Although, I am a bit anxious about the name change, we are going to trust that Sage's brand strategists have a good handle on what they are doing."

Jeremy Thies Microsoft has named Jeremy Thies as the new senior director of partner strategy for the Dynamics world. In that job, he has responsibility for channel and industry strategy, along with recruitment and partner capacity.

INFOR GETS NEW CFO, COO

Kevin Samuelson The remake of Infor's executive suite continued this week as the $2.5 billion software company named a new CFO and COO. Moving into the finance spot was Kevin Samuelson who replaced Raj Rajaji who is retiring. Rajaji is remaining with the company for six months to help with the transition.

PLUMBLINE GETS ALL DYNAMICS SL R&D

Microsoft has reportedly moved all of the research and development work for Dynamics SL that remained with it to Plumbline Solutions.  Plumbline, of course, was formed in the Solomon homeland of Findlay, Ohio, in 2004 and took over much of the SL work (and staff) at that time. Read more...

SAGE DEBUTS SAN OFFERING

Operating under the Sage Accountants Network, the program gives members access to construction accounting software and support. INTUIT DROPS ISP FEE

Intuit has reportedly dropped a $1,000 annual fee for resellers to be part of the Intuit Solution Provider program.  That sounds like a fairly hefty amount given the list price of QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions, the product handled by members.  So getting rid of it is a good move. Read more...
