SAGE PUTS OUT YEAR-END UPDATES

Paul Ziliak, XkzeroSage North America has been busy in December with the release of important product updates - most recently Sage 100 ERP 2013 with Sage 500 ERP 2013 and SalesLogix 8.0 coming earlier in the month. There is one notable feature, Visual Process Flows available in both accounting software packages. ADAPTIVE PLANNING NAMES CFO

David Pefley, Adaptive Planning Adaptive Planning has named David Pefley as CFO. Pefley takes over from founder Robert Hull who has been cutting back the number of titles that he holds. That includes shedding the CEO position last fall when the company hired John Herr for that Job. Hull still holds the title of president. Pefley joins the maker of on line budgeting software after serving a year as a consultant. Read more...

3CLOGIC INTEGRATES WITH SUGARCRM

sugarcrm_logo3CLogic, which offers cloud-based contact centers, has integrated its contact center software with SugarCRM. The integration, 3CSugarCRM, links the open source CRM product with inbound, outbound and blended contact center applications. The system supports voice, chat, text, and social media interactions across the contact center within SugarCRM and also provides PCI compliance by eliminating the need store customer credit card information in SugarCRM or in the 3CLogic contact center platform. The 3CLogic centers are hosted on Amazon Web Services.

ACCUFUND UPGRADES SUITE

Nonprofit software vendor AccuFund has introduced Version 4.04 of its AccuFund Accounting Suite. New to the product suite is Task Scheduler, a module that schedules scheduling reports to run and documents to print at a specific time or on a recurring basis. Both financial reports and standard reports in any module can be scheduled. With Task Scheduler, users can offload the processing of reports to off-peak hours. Read more...

SAGE EXECS TAKE PAY HIT

Guy Berruyer, SageCompensation for two top executives declined by double digits for the fiscal year ended September 30 of the Sage Group. Chief executive Guy Berruyer saw his compensation drop by 27 percent while that for CFO Paul Harrison fell by 28 percent. Those declines stemmed from steep decreases in bonuses from those awarded for fiscal 2011. Read more...

Blase Casillas, adpBlase Casillas, who has served as senior director of national and strategic accounts for Avalara, has taken a channel job with Automatic Data Processing. AVALARA GETS SAP ECC INTEGRATION

Avalara logoAvalara has certified an application that integrates its AvaTax sales-and-use tax engine with the SAP Central Component. The integration was developed by Step Up Systems Group, a North Brook, Ill.-based firm that manages, delivers and supports SAP implementations.  The enterprise-level connector allows AvaTax to integrate into the SAP application.

SERERRA HIRES FORMER SAGE MANAGER

Kimberly Graham, SererraKimberly Graham, who held channel management positions at Sage and NetSuite, has joined cloud VAR Sererra as director of client success. Graham was one of seven new hires featured on the website of the Irvine, Calif.-based reseller. In her new role, Graham and her team will manage client relationships. Read more...

EPICOR SHARPLY CUTS LOSS IN 2012

Epicor Software cut its loss for the year ended September 30 by 39 percent as the company completed its first full year since the merger of the former Activant and Epicor. A pro forma loss of $34 million compared to red ink of $64 million a year ago. Revenue of $871.2 million was 2.8-percent higher than received in fiscal 2011. Read more...
