The SBS Group has added the Enterprise Resources Technology Group of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to its partner network. ERT, now known as SBS Group South Florida, was founded by CEO Michael Medipor in 1999.

Revenue growth for the Americas in the second half ended September 30 outpaced the first-half increase, Sage said as the company reported results for fiscal 2012. Americas revenue was about $411.7 million, a 4-percent rise over 2011 while EBIDTA hit roughly $139 million, a 5-percent increase.

SYSPRO 7 TO RELEASE IN 2013

Syspro 7 will be available in general release in April, the company says, after previewing the application in the channel this year. Syspro says the user interface will be styled after Windows 8 with active tiles and touch capabilities. Enhancements include industry layouts to support large-scale customization via enterprise-wide modification and themes.

Hackers are set to demonstrate how to attack Dynamics GP in a presentation at the Black Hat Abu Dhabi conference this week. Tom Eston and Brett Kimmell were expected to unveil Project Mayhem, which a press release describes as "a proof of concept tool that makes accounting fraud easy and potentially undetectable ...."

SAP needs to do a better job of educating customers about the impact of its push to the cloud on the installed base, according to Adrian Simpson, chief technology officer of SAP U.K. Simpson made his remarks last week in an interview at the Business Cloud Summit in London.

Kevin Parker is leaving Deltek after seven years as CEO on Friday, December 7. Mike Corkery, CFO of the software company, will serve as acting CEO. We were told that the private equity investment firm Thoma Bravo, which bought the company in October, tends to buy companies with management it likes.

Acumatica has relocated its headquarters from Bethesda, Md., to Kirkland, Wash. The vendor says the new office will be open on December 3. COO Yury Larichev says the move is designed to give the company access to the talent pool in Washington to support plans to double channel partner sales, pre-sales consulting and other operational areas next year. He said it would also enable Acumatica to develop strong channel partner support on the West Coast. Microsoft’s cloud platform,” added Larichev. The Rand Group, a Houston, Texas-based Dynamics reseller, has picked up assets and employees of SMBology. Founded in 2003, SMBology has described itself as offering strategic consulting, user experience design, and application development. In its announcement, Rand emphasized the expansion of services by adding a suite of business applications and custom business intelligence dashboards based on Microsoft Sharepoint.
