CLOUD RESELLING SCORECARD

To quick off the year right, we need to catch up on which vendors have signed which resellers in the race for channel by the cloud players. Acumatica has added KTL Solutions of Frederick, Md. Gary Francart, KTL’s director of sales and marketing, will serve on the Acumatica Advisory Board . And in its first announcement for 2012, Intacct said it has signed Faye Business Systems Group , a Sage reseller.

CDC SEEKS TO BLOCK ROSS SALE

Dwight Mamanteo, Wynnefield CapitalCDC Software's strange story continues as the company, via its chief restructuring officer, is seeking block the sale of subsidiaries, Ross Systems and Tradebeam, via a motion for a preliminary injunction. CDC Software, operating under Chapter 11, said the units represent 28 percent of sales.

SAP: BYD PASSES 1,000 UNITS

Willliam McDermott, SAPSAP said this week  that it has passed its target of selling 1,000 Business ByDesign units by end end of 2011. That comment was made at a webcast discussing fiscal 2011 results. Co-CEO William McDermott said that "We have exceeded the 1,000 target that you’ve heard Jim and I talk about countless times." CDC GETS RESTRUCTURING EXEC

C.K. Wong, CDC SoftwareCDC Software, which filed for Chapter 11 protection after a $65 million judgment against it, is now being run by Marc Watson as chief restructuring officer. As part of a restructuring agreement approved on December 2011, Watson has complete authority to make decisions about CDC’s business.

Kirill Tatarinov, MicrosoftMicrosoft will release Dynamics AX 2012 for Retail next month. The company made the announcement at the National Retail Federation conference this week.
