Infor logoInfor has acquired Easy RMS, which markets multitenant SaaS  revenue management software for the hospitality industry. Based in London, Easy RMS reportedly has more than 1,200 customers which provides revenue management functionality that lets hotels optimize room pricing.

RETAIL PRO ENTERS AFGHANISTAN

retail proRetail Pro International has entered the Afghan market, which the Folsom, Calif.-based company said brings its presence to 85 countries. The company is already selling its retail software in Pakistan and in the Arabian Peninsula. Pakistani retailer, Safem, is rolling out Retail Pro in its more than 150 stores while the Qatar Luxury Group is doing the same in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. INTERDYN CFO OWNER DIES

Steve Lublin, owner of Interdyn CFO, has died. Lublin, a resident of Orlando, Fla., died last month following a two-year battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. He was 63 years old. Lublin and his wife, Kyle, founded CFO Consulting in 1989. The company has offices in Orlando and Tampa, Fla. It is a long-time reseller of Dynamics GP and NAV and recently took on Intacct. Interdyn CFO was No. 91 on this year's Bob Scott's Top 100 VAR list with $3.8 million in revenue.

JOHNSTON: QUALMS ABOUT WINDOWS 8

Randy Johnston K2 EnterprisesWindows 8 is not a good strategic investment. That was the message consultant Randy Johnston of K2 Enterprises delivered to an audience at the AICPA Tech+ Conference in Las Vegas this week. Johnston said Windows 8 will represent challenges because it will "require end-user training. It's going to have a big learning curve."

MCCOLLUM HEADING EPICOR RETAIL

Craig McCollum, EpicorCraig McCollum, who had important Microsoft and Sage jobs, has reportedly been named to head Epicor's retail sales. Epicor has not made an announcement and McCollum has not added Epicor to his LinkedIn page. But he reportedly started the new job on June 4.
