Robert Deshaies, VP of specialty solutions, has left Sage North America. Deshaies was one of the Microsoft veterans who came aboard with the hiring of the Jodi Uecker-Rust, who left right before Sage named Pascal Houillon as chief executive of the operations here.

Sage North America has introduced Sage Nonprofit Online, which provides what it calls "hosted online access to a bundle of nonprofit solutions." There is also subscription pricing for the package of products that incorporates Sage 100 Fund Accounting, Fundraising 50, Fundraising Online and Grant Management.

It's Intacct's term so - hey, don't criticize me for the headline. In any event, this is one of those kitchen-sink announcements with a lot of good features, but no big changes and that's hard on headline writers. The online software vendor says it has 100 enhancements in its "Spring 2012" release.

SOCIUS SIGNS SIX AFFILIATES

Interdyn Socius, based in Dublin, Ohio, has signed six more resellers as sales affiliates under the Microsoft Master VAR program. That means Socius now has seven times more affiliates than it did; it previously had one. Word was that CEO Jeff Geisler had received interest from many Dynamics resellers, but not from a lot of good ones.

Tribridge topped the Dynamics channel as it was named this week Dynamics Outstanding Partner of the Year. It is the third time it has received the award in the last five times that honor has been given. The Miami, Fla.-based VAR also achieved the honor in 2008 and 2010.
QURIUS IN INNER CIRCLE; ON BLOCK

Days before it was named to the Dynamics Inner Circle, European VAR Qurius said it is looking for a safe haven. Its German managing director is getting run out of town and Dutch executives are being brought for a clean up. The weak European economy has the Microsoft Worldwide Partner of the Year for 2007 ready to take a goodwill impairment charge of about $17 million to nearly $20 million.

INNER CIRCLE GETS BIGGER

In recent years, Microsoft's Inner Circle has not been a home for the small fry. But usually, there has been at least one ERP VAR with $5 million to $10 million in revenue to make it. Not this year. From a self-serving measurement, seven of the top 10 of Bob Scott's Top 100 VARs made the list just announced at the Worldwide Partner Conference.

Blytheco has named Lori Seal, a 10-year Sage veteran, as COO. Seal was most recently VP of ecommerce solutions for Junctions Solutions, a Dynamics AX reseller, from March 2012 through June this year. But from 1998 through 2008, she held a variety of positions with Sage North America.

Sage wants its accounting software resellers to take on SageCRM. Since the company has only 100 CRM-only VARs, it wants to expand its reach, says Tom Miller, VP of channel management for Sage North America.
