Cosmo Consult, a multi-national Dynamics reseller and consulting firm, has named three senior level executives. Two of them, Daniel Schmid, who has become chief portfolio officer, and Tobias Fenster, now chief technical officer, are new to the Germany-based company.

Marc Linden has become EVP and GM of Sage’s Medium Segment Native Cloud Solutions. Sage made the formal announcement this week although Linden, who was previously CFO, saw his new title on the Sage leadership team webpage for the past two weeks or so.

Bill McDermott, who has been CEO or CO-CEO since 2010, will leave his job running SAP at the end of the year. He is turning the job over to executive board members, Jennifer Morgan and Christian Klein as co-CEOs.

Nick Goode has become EVP of X-3 for Sage. Goode, who was been with the software company since April 2019, took over his position in July. It was a bit surprising as Goode was not present in June when Sage held its first-ever X-3 user conference.

Oracle said this week it will hire nearly 2,000 employees for its Oracle Cloud Infrastructure business. The hiring is coupled with opening of new data centers and Gen 2 Cloud regions.
IFS AMERICAS TO BUY ASTEA

IFS, a sister company to Acumatica, has agreed to acquire Astea International. The deal, which will be accomplished through a merger, appears to have a value of about $43.1 million, based on a $12-per-share price and the number of shares outstanding on June 30.
