SAP STRIKES MICROSOFT DEAL

SAP has entered a deal with Microsoft to take its products to the cloud. The same day it reported its third quarter ended September 30, the Germany-based software company said the deal will speed movement of customer installations of SAP S/4HANA and SAP Cloud Platform to its Azure platform.

IFS REVS UP 13 PERCENT

Revenue for IFS, the sister company of Acumatica, reached $485 million for the nine months ended September 30. That was a 23-percent increase over last year’s corresponding period.

DYNAMICS STAYS ON DOUBLE-DIGIT PATH

Microsoft reported last week Dynamics revenue rose by 14-percent year-over-year for the first quarter ended September 30. The path is one the product line has been following over the last two years with most of the increase coming from Dynamics 365, which showed a 41-percen jump from last year’s corresponding quarter.

MCDERMOTT MOVING TO SERVICENOW

Shortly after announcing he would leave SAP,  CEO Bill McDermott says he is taking over the top job at ServiceNow by the end of 2019. McDermott is stepping into the job of CEO and president with John Donahoe moving from those positions at ServiceNow to take over leadership of Nike.

PRODWARE REVS STRONGER IN 3Q

After posting mixed results in the first half, revenue for the Prodware Group, a reseller based in France, moved up for the third quarter. Revenue for the quarter ended September 30 was about $39.1 million, an increase of 5.9 percent over last year’s corresponding period.

NADELLA EARNS $42.9 MILLION

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella received a 66-percent hike in compensation for the year ended June 30. His compensation was boosted in three major areas, giving him $42.9 million for fiscal 2019, up from $25.8 million in 2018.

COLUMBUS NAMES HR LEADER

Columbus has named Mary Hunter, who has led its business in the United Kingdom, as Chief People Officer of the global company. Hunter will move into the new job on January 1 while Chris Mean, COO of Columbus U.K. will take over Hunter’s position in that country.
