SAGE PACKED SUMMIT ATTENDANCE?

Steve Kelly, SageSage acknowledges it had 15,000 attendees at last month's Summit conference, short of the 20,000 it promised. But the real question is how relevant all those bodies were. We know that the software company was advertising a $99 entry fee up through the start of the Chicago-based event. But there are complaints that Sage was handing out passes like candy and the attendance including people basically off the street.

THINKING ABOUT NETSUITE AND ORACLE

Robert Reid, IntacctQuestions about Oracle's pending purchase of NetSuite have the industry pondering the impact. And one of those has to been what Oracle will do with the NetSuite channel. Oracle has said it will continue to develop the NetSuite product line, along with its own applications. But that cannot be too comforting to the NetSuite channel and there is evidence NetSuite VARs are nervous enough to approach other vendors.

ACCELLOS LINKS TO X3

Carl Marin, HighJumpHighJump has developed an integration for its AccellosOne Warehouse Management System and Sage X3 ERP. HighJump said more than 100 Sage users have purchased the company's product for inventory control and order fulfillment. Sage has also selected AccellosOne WMS as an endorsed product.

EXACT U.S. DOMAINS CHANGED

MacolaExact has changed the domain names for the websites of its three North American manufacturing software websites. Surprisingly, the change has been to remove the word "Exact" from the domains. The domains are now Macola.com, JobBoss.com and MAX4ERP.com. I have an inquiry to public relations of the Netherlands-based company but have not had a response yet.

INTACCT CHOOSES PRESIDENT'S CLUB

Marcus Wagner, AcctTwo Shared ServicesCloud software vendor Intacct has named 11 firms as members of its Presidents' Club. The group includes both resellers of Intacct's products and accounting firms that utilize Intacct's applications to provide outsourced accounting services. The pure resellers in the group are AcctTwo Shared Services and Leap the Pond.

X3 VP MASCARENO LEFT IN APRIL

Crystal Mascareno, Seal SoftwareCrystal Mascareno, VP for Sage X3 in North America, has left the company for Seal Software after nine months. I probably would not report this change but her hiring was reported by me on November 19 in an article about changes in the X3 management structure, a group that had drawn reseller criticism. Mascareno was with Sage from August 2015 through April 2016.

QBO PASSES 1.5M SUBSCRIBERS

Sasan Goodarzi, IntuitIntuit has topped 1.5 million subscribers for QuickBooks Online. That's up 25,000 from the total reported for April 30 when its third quarter ended. Subscription numbers and product sales numbers will be released on August 23 when the company reports results for the fourth quarter ended July 30. Intuit says more than 80 percent of QBO subscribers are new to its products.
