Microsoft has outlined its plans for Dynamics 365. A post on news section of the software company's CustomerSource, says Dynamics AX will become Dynamics 365 for Operations application within Dynamics 365 – Enterprise edition. The full Enterprise edition will be available next year. The cloud option, which is built on Azure, will be available on November 1 as Microsoft ramps up its most serious cloud entry to date.

Epicor Software changed its management profile this week by adding the title COO to the duties of Kathy Crusco, who remains as CFO. The development came as KKR finished its acquisition of Epicor from Apax partners. Crusco will have a full plate as she will lead customer support and HR. Two other execs had changes to their responsibilities and it looks like the completion of a remake of management that has been underway for the last 18 months.

Fishbowl has written a link for its manufacturing and inventory packages to AvaTax, the cloud-based sales tax engine from Avalara. The move came as Avalara initiated a thrust into smaller businesses—including those that can be best described as candidates for purchasing Intuit's QuickBooks Self-Employed.

There's a new ad campaign that plays off the episode in which Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte trashed a bathroom in Brazil: "If you are planning on being drunk and disorderly, don't go half the way with beer.
