Once upon a time, a company called State of the Art made a name for itself by enlisting CPAs to sell its accounting software package, MAS 90. That package, of course, remains on the market after it made its way into the Sage family via acquisition.  But CPAs exited the reselling business or were shown the door by Sage and the other tool in the Sage arsenal, Peachtree, lost out to the love of QuickBooks by accountants.
