Edgewater Technology has reported an apparent embezzlement at Fullscope, a Dynamics AX reseller that it acquired on December 31. The embezzlement appears to have started as early as 2007. Following the acquisition, Edgewater discovered what it termed irregular non-routine transactions recorded in the first five months of this year via which an administrative office employee tried to hide the misdirection of customer payments. Fullscope, based in Athens, Ala., was Microsoft's Dynamics Manufacturing Partner of the Year for 2009.

Conference, was not a cloud in the sky. In fact, if you listened to keynotes or read transcriptions, you would barely know Microsoft markets financial software. Kirill Tatarinov, head of Microsoft Business Solutions, did make a keynote and there was a Dynamics track. But Tatarinov's speech wasn't posted to the Microsoft Web site. SAGE NAMES NEW CEO

A Frenchman, Guy Berruyer, will take over the job of Chief Executive of the Sage Group after Paul Walker steps down after 16 years in the job. Berruyer, CEO of Sage’s Mainland Europe and Asia business, has worked for Intuit and Bull, the French software group and spent 13 years with the company and will take over with the start of the new fiscal year on October 1. And he’s not an accountant.
