Sage has issued an interim management statement about its financial results since the fiscal year began on October 1. This is one of those reports in which no numbers are given. But the Sage Group did say performance has been “in-line with expectations for the year.”

SERENIC PARES LOSS BY 68 PERCENT

Serenic cut its loss by 68.3 percent as revenue rose by 1.4 percent for the third quarter ended November 30. The maker of nonprofit software reported a net loss of $103,595, down from $326,629 in last year's corresponding quarter.

Blytheco, Sage's largest reseller in the United States, has picked up SugarCRM. In a prepared statement, CEO Steve Blythe said the open-source product line would be "a strong option" for many of its customers.

For all the talk about cloud-based applications, SAP made a strong declaration this week about the economics of that business: the cloud is not producing a return. “So far, no company is making money in the cloud,” according to co-CEO Jim Hagemann-Snabe.

Accellos has named Chad Collins as chief marketing officer. Before joining Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Accellos, Collins was VP of marketing and strategy for HighJump Software, which markets supply chain execution software and where he spent almost 10 years. He was previously a manager in the supply chain practice of Cap Gemini Ernst and Young Consulting.

Infor has introduced Infor10 Motion, a cloud-based mobile platform built on its Ion integration framework. The company also kicked two applications into the market this week: Road Warrior, a mobile CRM application, and ActivityDeck, which allows users to respond to important tasks, receive real-time alerts, and approve pending requests.

Gary Francart, KTL’s director of sales and marketing, will serve on the Acumatica Advisory Board . And in its first announcement for 2012, Intacct said it has signed Faye Business Systems Group , a Sage reseller.
