TRAVERSE DASHBOARD DEBUTS

Traverse logoOpen Systems has released Dashboard, a business intelligence and analytical application for version 11 of its Traverse accounting software line. Dashboard incorporates dozens of predefined business views for capturing, filtering and presenting real-time business data in a variety of formats. There are also drilldown capabilities. Users can select and position which dashboard objects they wish to see.  Information is automatically up. Dashboard is available now through Traverse's automatic update process.

PRODWARE EXECUTES QURIUS DEAL

Prodware LogoThe Prodware Group, a Dynamics reseller based in France, has carried out major elements of an announced deal to end the existence of Qurius. It has purchased Qurius Germany and Qurius United Kingdom. That leaves primarily the Netherlands operations, but anything remaining will be liquidated and proceeds distributed to shareholders. The Prodware side of the announcement said talks could lead to its purchase of the Dutch subsidiaries and what was described as its Czech partner. Read more...

MICROACCOUNTING, XKZERO TO MERGE

MicroAccounting logoDallas-based MicroAccounting Solutions and Chicago's Xkzero are merging on September 1 to put together a reselling organization that will operate under the MicroAccounting name. Xkzero will be used for the programming and application business. Xkzero offers programming services for Sage 500 and X3 and the companies says it supports all Sage ERP packages. Besides the financial apps, MicroAccounting carries Sage HRM, FAS, CRM and Intelligence. Read more...

NETSUITE SIGNS SAGE VAR ACCORDANT

Robert Sandelands, AccordantAccordant, which was a Top Five Sage reseller for 2010 and 2011, has become the latest major Sage VAR to enlist to carry NetSuite. NetSuite also signed Louisville, Ky.-based Oasis Computer Solutions. Oasis has a more wide-ranging product line and handles Dynamics GP and QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions, along with Sage 100.

H&F, BAIN REPORTED DELTEK BIDDERS

Deltek logoHellman & Friedman and Bain Capital are reported to be among several parties bidding for Deltek. Reuters carried the story this week. Deltek has had no comment on the fact that it has put itself up for sale, but there does not seem much doubt that it has with a reports bidding could soon enter a second round. H&F was the group that controlled nonprofit vendor Blackbaud until that company went public in 2004. Read more...

INFOR ALLIES WITH B&D; BUYS CANADIAN OPS

This week, Infor announced a new partnership with B&D, an international consulting company and systems integrator. SWITCH TO SUBS HITTING BLACKBAUD NET

And combined with a slower giving and a protracted period for government approval of its Convio acquisition, things piled up a bit on the Charleston, S.C.-based nonprofit specialist. The company lost $2.3 million in the quarter ended June 30, compared to net income of $9.4 million a year earlier.

Founded in 1991, Plus has sold -well it's Canada, what else? - Accpac, which is now known as Sage 300, in both its desktop and online flavors, along with Sage CRM, HRMS and Fixed Assets. AVECTRA GOES AUSTRALIAN

Avectra logoAvectra, which makes web-based social CRM, has signed Professional Advantage, a reseller that has operations in Australia and the United States. The VAR will sell Avectra's constituent relationship management system in Australia. It was the third reseller signing announced by McLean, Va.-based Avectra in the last month.

VAR GOES HEAD ON WITH SAGE IN U.K.

Mhance logoM-hance, created via a consolidation of several British VARs, has launched its entry into the online accounting competition for SMEs in Sage's backyard. The new product, Financials to Go, is described as a hosted cloud solution that can be deployed in five days or less. Designed with Word and Outlook Templates, FTG has been built for "SMEs or for those wishing to leave their current accounting solution provider (Sage, QuickBooks, NetSuite etc)", a press release states.
