OUTLINING SUGARCRM'S DEFECTIONS.

Ken Lorenz, TicomixSugarCRM has had its share of executive and manager turnover this year. Part came during a declared reorganization in February. But it has not stopped. Ken Lorenz, who was enterprise sales director from July 2012 through September, to become regional sales director at Ticomix. Dawn Jaeger, director of channel development, moved to Acumatica in June to become director of partner recruiting.

SAGE BROADENS ACCOUNTANT EFFORT

Jennifer Warawa, SageSage North America has created a new unit, Sage Accountants Solutions, to accelerate its efforts with accounting professionals. The company named Jennifer Warawa, who has headed the Sage Accountants Network, as VP and general manager of the new organization. Warawa says that SAN has been more about efforts across the Sage product portfolio. The new effort aims a broader involvement between Sage and accounting professionals.

SUGARCRM PICKS MARKETING VP

Jennifer Stagnaro, SugarCRMSugarCRM has hired Jennifer Stagnaro as its SVP of marketing. In the new job, Stagnaro leads branding and marketing initiatives. She was previously VP of global marketing for Immersion. Before that, she was VP of marketing for Audience. She was also executive director for the Meth Project, which was aimed at reducing methadone use among youth. Sugar's previous marketing leaders included Lorna Heynike, who was SVP of marketing until she became the open source software company's group VP of product strategy in April 2012.

EDGEWATER MORE THAN DOUBLES NET

Shirley Singleton, Edgewater TechnologyEdgewater Technology turned in one of its better quarters with results for the third quarter ended September 30. This time, net income more than doubled on 5-percent rise in revenue. Net income for the most recently ended period was $1.8 million, compared $793,000. Revenue reached $25.4 million compared to $24.2 million a year earlier. Numbers were up across the board:

BLACKBAUD EARNINGS TRIPLE

Anthony Boor, BlackbaudNet income for nonprofit software vendor Blackbaud more than tripled for the third quarter ended September 30 as revenue rose by 4.4 percent. That came as license revenue continued to drop while subscription revenue rose. Net income hit $9.4 million, compared to $2.8 million in last year's corresponding period.

SWIFTPAGE HIRES SALESLOGIX VP

Jens Weitzel, SwiftpageSwiftpage has hired Jens Weitzel as VP of business for business development in its SalesLogix business unit. Weitzel previously held senior executive positions at SVP. He worked at SAP from 2001 and was most recently VP  of sustainability management and strategy in the office of the CEO from January 2012 through October 2013. At that software company, he was also VP of business development, ecosystem and channels from 2008 through 2011.

SERENIC'S LOSS GROWS 13.8 PERCENT

SerenicDespite new product introductions and new alliances, nonprofit vendor Serenic saw its loss increase by 13.8 percent on a 5.2-percent increase in revenue for the second quarter ended August 31. The loss for the most recently ended quarter was $188,728, up from $165,900 in red ink a year earlier. Second-quarter revenue was just under $3 million, up from $2.8 million. All figures are in Canadian dollars.

Based in Australia, Gem recently moved into the United States with its midmarket financial software. Del Gobbo was most recently director of channel sales and senior director of channel recruitment for cloud vendor Acumatica. MICROSOFT BURIES DYNAMICS NUMBERS

Chris Suh, MicrosoftMicrosoft has rearranged its financial reporting. And with that switch, the little we have learned about Dynamics sales has disappeared with the first quarter ended September 30. For several years, Microsoft has given the percent change in Dynamics revenue. But even that has been taken away as the software giant lumped revenue in two major categories – consumer and devices, and commercial revenue.
