SilverSun Technologies, parent of Sage reseller SWK Technologies, says it plans to grow from nearly $18 million in annual revenue to $50 million over the next 18 months. A letter from Jeff Roth, CEO of Livingston, N.J.-based SWK says his company no longer believes growth will come from the purchase of other Sage resellers. "At this time, SilverSun doesn't envision its growth coming from Sage partner acquisitions and is focused on potential transactions outside of the channel," Roth wrote.

Sage is trumpeting double-digit growth in many product lines in a mailing for Sage Summit. This comes as reports of conference attendance vary from 4,500 currently to an expected crowd of 5,000. Presumably product numbers are for the United States, especially the 34-percent growth year-over-year for X3 and X3 upgrade license growth of 58 percent. In its official statistics for the first half ended March 31, Sage reported 7 percent growth in that product worldwide, with the product up 22 percent outside of France.

Net@Work, which is relatively new to the nonprofit business, this week expanded those operations by acquiring the Abila practice of ADSS Global. Based in New York City, Net@Work got into the market last year with the purchase of Huckstep & Associates, whose former owner, Jeannie Huckstep, is nonprofit practice director for Net@Work. TRACKING SUMMIT 2014 EXHIBITS

There's been a great deal of debate about Sage Summit 2014 conference in online groups. The debate is over the impact of the cut-rate pricing for users, the July Las Vegas location and some general distaste among resellers who don't think Sage is all that great to its resellers any more. A handy measuring stick is the number of exhibits for the event to be held July 28 through 31. Sage dramatically hiked the cost of booth space, while going for the uniform unibranding look. To date, I count 102 sponsors and exhibitors, which seems to me is up significantly from just a week ago.
