TATARINOV "TRUE CLOUD" NOT IMPORTANT ISSUE

Kirill Tatarinov, Microsoft
Kirill Tatarinov
, who heads Microsoft Business Solutions, says the question of whether the next iteration of Microsoft's cloud initiative has true cloud products is not a meaningful one. Microsoft said at this weeks' Convergence conference in New Orleans that, "Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 and Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 will be delivered in the cloud through partners hosted on Windows Azure in June 2013." WIDE-OPEN SPACES AT CONVERGENCE

“They are saving space for that new condo development,” I said while talking to folks at the Avalara booth. CCH SALES TAX OK FOR DYNAMICS AX

cch logoThe CCH Sales Tax Office has been certified for integration with Dynamics AX 2012. However, the big news with CCH is less about links to a particular software package than its showing activity in this market. CCH acquired the former SpeedTax in July 2011 and seemed to go into hibernation in the sales-and-use-tax market. The Sales Tax Office is one of three editions developed from that purchase. But one of the real metrics for CCH in this market is its visibility at the Microsoft Convergence conference, being held next week in New Orleans.
