Manufacturing software Vendor QAD reported a loss of $161,000 for the third quarter ended October 31, compared to earnings of $1.5 million a year earlier. Revenue increased to $76.9 million in the most recently ended period, a gain of 10.9 percent from $69.5 million a year earlier.

Accounts payable software company AvidXchange has purchased Ariett Business Solutions. Based in Pembroke, Mass. Founded in 2005, Ariett markets cloud-based payment, procurement software, along with time and expense software and other applications.

Columbus has made an offer to buy iStone, a firm based in Sweden with 600 employees that operates globally. It represents a substantial expansion for the Denmark-based Columbus which had 1,200 employees when the first half ended on June 30.

Infor expects to report revenue growth of 7.5 percent to 8.9 percent for the second quarter ended October 31. The software company says software license fees and subscription revenue will grow by 10.7 percent to 13.4 percent over a year ago.
