Edgewater Technology has fired Robin Ranzal-Knowles, head of the company's Oracle consulting business. The termination occurred on August 23, but slipped my examination of 8-Ks. The LinkedIn profile of Chris Churchill, a VP of Edgewater Ranzal, shows he is acting president of the group.

It was very cruel of president Trump to refer to North Korean head of state, Kim Jung Un as "Rocket Man" in a speech before the General Assembly of the United Nations. You apply a nick name to someone and before long, Kim won't be able to go anywhere without someone applying the unwanted moniker.

Edgewater Technology, which owns the Fullscope reselling business, has named Paul McNeice as chief accounting officer. That job had been held by CFO Timothy Oakes so this move appears to simply separate the positions.

Gravity Software has signed Portugal-based Noesis as a reseller of its software. Gravity's mid-market accounting application is written on Dynamics 365 (Dynamics CRM). Noesis is the second international VAR signed by Gravity, which is based in the Detroit, Mich., area.

This is the show-within-a-show concept with top executives from what is now Oracle NetSuite joining the parent on October 3 and 4 in San Francisco. Adam Hale, CEO of the former Fairsail, is leaving Sage on October 3. Hale became the leader of the Fairsail, whose product is now known as Sage People, in March 2014. He joined Sage when it purchased the Reading, United Kingdom-based company in March.

Deltek, which makes software for project-based business, has acquired Copenhagen, Denmark-based WorkBook. Founded in 2000, WorkBook markets what Deltek described "one of the most widely used management tools in the advertising industry globally". Terms were not disclosed.
