AVALARA REVS JUMP 40 PERCENT

Avalara slashed its loss by a third as revenue rose 40.5 percent for the year ended December 31. The sales tax software company stayed on that pace in the fourth quarter with the percentage changes for the bottom and top lines the same as for the year.

AVALARA AUTOMATES RATE SOURCING

Avalara is close to releasing capabilities for automating the collection of indirect tax content and classifying customer products and services. During this week’s webcast for earnings for the year ended December 31, CEO Scott McFarlane said his company is also in final testing to automate Avatax code classification and taxability analysis to accelerate new customer onboarding.
