SECOND HALF FULL OF SHOWS

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in conference schedule weighted far more to the second half of the year than has been usual. For example, formerly held in the spring, Oracle NetSuite SuiteWorld moved to the fall last year and this year it remains in the second half from September 22 through 29 in Las Vegas.

ALITHYA NAMES U.S. MICROSOFT LEADER

 Alithya has hired Jason Wickman to head its Microsoft practice in the United States. Wickman, most recently the founder of Agilidy Consulting, will be reasonable for growing a practice that includes Microsoft Industry Clouds and Predictive Customer Workloads from Microsoft’s Dynamics 365.

 AvidXchange expects double digit revenue growth will continue this year. The payments software company recently issued guidance stating revenue for 20202 will range from $296.4 million to $301.5 million.

COLUMBUS EXITS RUSSIA

Denmark-based Columbus is one of the many companies leaving Russia following that country’s invasion of the Ukraine. CEO Søren Krogh Knudsen reported during the week’s webcast for earnings for the year ended December 31 that the reseller has disposed of the operation.

VERTEX SLASHES STOCK COMP, LOSS

Vertex sharply reduced its loss for the year ended December 31 as it cut operating expenses by a sharp cut in general and administrative spending, driven by a  $55.1 million decrease in stock-based compensation in 2021.

PROCORE MOVES INTO FRANCE

Procore Technologies has launched its construction software business in France, with plans to move further into Europe. The company this week said it had named Laurence Caron-Vidon as senior director for France and Southern Europe to build regional operations.

MICROSOFT PARTNER LEADER NAMED

Microsoft has named Sarah Steiger as GM of partner solutions for the U.S. national/local services team. Steiger, who joined the software company in 1998, was previously GM of  U.S. partner management and sales enablement, among other roles from May 2018 until taking the new position this month.
