SAP OPENS APPS FOR SMES

Karl Fahrbach, SAPSAP has opened access to its software portfolio so its partners can develop fixed-scope package applications for small and midsize enterprises. The packages created will be based on SAP software and expanded via a partner's services and intellectual property, the company said this week.

EDGEWATER EDGES DOWN IN LAST YEAR

Jeff Rutherford, Edgewater TechnologyEdgewater Technology saw its loss balloon and revenue drop in its last full year as a company. The company will become part of Alithya when a merger is expected to be completed in the third quarter. Edgewater lost $29.1 million for the year ended December 31, compared to $2.8 million in red ink for 2016.

Thomas Honoré, Columbus Columbus said this week it plans to utilize its January acquisition of Swedish iStone to take the Infor M3 (Lawson) product line global. The initiative is a major change for Columbus which had concentrated on the Dynamics line and its internally developed Columbus Software.
