Net at Work continues mopping up smaller Sage resellers this month. It most recently said it has purchased Pleasanton, Calif.-based Sysera, a Sage 300 reseller. New York-based Net at Work has said there will be more purchases of smaller Sage resellers that are part of its network program.

Sage intends to increase its spending for research and development from about 15 percent of annual recurring revenue to 17 percent, chief executive Steve Hare said. The number of Xero subscribers in North America rose 17 percent to 251,000 for the first half ended September 30. The cloud software company this week also reported North American revenue reached about $20.8 million a 4-percent increase, a rise of 2 percent in constant currencies.
