SAGE FILLING DIGITAL MARKETING JOBS

Neil Morgan, SageSage is ramping up its digital marketing with a push to fill many jobs in that area. In a recent web posting, the company said it had several roles to fill and listed 24 different job categories for which it is hiring. Sage did not enumerate the number of jobs to be filled in the categories.

EDGEWATER REVS TO FALL SHORT

Shirley Singleton, Edgewater TechnologyEdgewater Technology says anticipated service revenue for the third quarter ended September 30 will fall short of revenue guidance. CEO Shirley Singleton says service revenue will be "essentially flat" with total revenue of about $30.8 million, compared to $31.2 million in last year's corresponding period. Service revenue is expected to be about $27 million compared to $27.2 million a year ago.

Cardonne RayThe SBS Group, a reseller and Dynamics Master VAR, has named Ray Cardonne as its CFO. He was CFO of DLB Associates Consulting Engineers of Eatontown, N.J., from 2010 through this year. Before that, he held the same title at Refac Optical Group for 10 years.

Part of the company's Costpoint Cloud suite, the new product includes Deltek CRM, Talent Management and Core HR capabilities. The Reston, Va.-based software company says because of the products "robust APIs, the solution easily integrates and connects to third-party ERP system and Human Capital Management systems."

SIMPRO RECEIVES $31 MILLION

Ken Del Gobbo, simProSimPro Software, which makes project management software, has received a $31 million investment from New York-based Level Equity. Level Equity will remain a minority investor, the company said. Based in Brisbane, Australia, the company is related to Gemaccounts, a cloud-based accounting software company, that put out a few press releases in this country and then went quiet.

Phil McIntosh, Friendly SystemsTuple, which markets open source financial software, has named Friendly Systems as its Partner of the Year. Based in Atlanta, Ga., Friendly was given the Dan Means Memorial Award, which honors Dan Means, an xTuple reseller, who died in early in 2014.

John Matterson, EpicorJohn Matterson, who was given responsibility for the Epicor North American channel, has left the company. That reminds me—at its conference in April, Epicor said it would announce a new channel program this month. Matterson assumed his last Epicor job in October 2015 as senior director for the channel program.

BLACKBAUD PICKS VERTICAL LEADERS

Russ Cobb, BlackbaudBlackbaud, based in Charleston, S.C., has named presidents of two groups that address key vertical markets. The nonprofit software vendor named Tim Hill, as president of its Higher Education Solutions group and, Russ Cobb, as president of its Healthcare Solutions group. Their LinkedIn profiles show Hill started work for Blackbaud this month; Cobb in July.
