PASSPORT INTROS VERSION 12.03

John Miller,  Passport SoftwarePassport Software, which I always like to think of as the company that just keeps on ticking, has introduced Version 12.03 of Passport Business Software. For those not familiar with history, Passport is a direct descendant of the former RealWorld software. In a prepared statement, president John Miller described the new version's Check Reconciliation as "a much improved module" that feature graphical screens and new options to improve support of cash management.

SWIFTPAGE INTROS ACT EMARKETING

SwiftPage has introduced Act emarketing, a service designed for the North American Act Certified Consultant channel. The Denver, Colo.-based company said this lets the CCs deliver integrated emarketing capabilities to Act v. 16 customers via features that include a dynamic drag-and-drop template editor with more than 100 preconfigured templates. There is also "in-context integration with the Act! contact management solution," according to the company press release.

FINANCIALFORCE TIES TO AVALARA

FinancialForce The Winter '14 release of FinancialForce Accounting has been introduced with an integration with the Avalara sales tax engine. Users can manage sales and use taxes on the Salesforce platform or use Avalara to track and submit tax forms and payments. FinancialForce.com says the concurrent winter release of FinancialForce PSA features an updated timecard interface that offers a single point of entry in the cloud; a time-against-task feature for tracking time on project tasks; new Gantt chart functionality that provides a visual representation of projects and tasks; and mobile expense capabilities. FinancialForce.com is jointly owned by Unit4 and Salesforce.com.
