Exact is simplifying its holdings in North America with the planned sale of Longview Solutions.  The sale is being made to Marlin Equity Partners for an undisclosed amount—is anybody besides private equity groups buying software applications and companies these days? Based in Canada, Longview was acquired by Exact in 2007. Exact CEO Erik van der Meijden said after his company completed its review of five business units in its Specialized Solutions that Longview lacked a strategic fit.
