SAP added 100 customers for its web-based Business ByDesign during the third quarter ended September 30. That's based on comments during this week's earnings conference call made by co-CEO Jim Hagemann-Snabe. The executive said there were 650 ByD customers at the end of the quarter and that compares to a report of 550 buyers at the end of the June quarter. Hagamann-Snabe repeated SAP's belief it will reach 1,000 customers for the product by the end of 2011.
