Langner wrote that the new arrangement would give customers points of contact, a more consistency, higher-quality customer experience, the identification of new leads and revenue opportunities and more security annuity revenue. Resellers get a new Business Care Representative by product line. Customers with August through November renewal dates still deal with SSI sales reps while those renewing after December 1 start using Sage sales reps. Sage will start making renewal calls on September 23.

Sage is taking Sage Business Care, its customer service effort, in house at the end of September. In a letter to the channel, Joe Langner, EVP of midmarket solutions, said that while the third-party provider, ServiceSource International “has done a good job over the past several years, we believe that bringing renewals in-house will provide significant benefits to partners, customers, and Sage.”
