Augustin described Charlton as someone “to take SugarCRM to the next level.” He worked for Accel-KKR backed Oildex from July 2017 through December and was president and CEO for his last 16 months there. He was CEO of Abila from February 2017 through April 2017, until its purchase by Community Brands. He has been a strategic advisor for Accel-KKR since April 2016. He was general manager of the Epicor team for the former Professional Advantage and was with the organization from 1997 through 2007, when it was purchased by Epicor. He stayed with that software company until March 2016 and was SVP and GM for Epicor’s Asia Pacific region from April 2012 until his departure.

SugarCRM has named Craig Charlton as CEO. The open source software company named Larry Augustin, who had held the position for almost 10 years, to the post of chairman of the board of directors.
