Connie Certusi, the EVP who leads the Sage small business effort in this country, says the Peachtree version won't hit until fiscal 2016, which begins on October 1. She did not give a firm date. Certusi notes the cloud-based Sage One is designed to compete head-on with QuickBooks Online. Sage Live, which just went live, is designed with the mobile user in mind. Explaining the Sage One-50 link, Certusi said, "We made it integrated to make it easier for accountants to use." Sage also plans to connect the U.S. version of Sage 50 to Sage Drive as has already occurred in Canada. Drive enables users to upload data from desktop system to the cloud.
