The official announcement says, "The combination creates one of North America's largest Microsoft solution provider partners supporting the energy and manufacturing verticals." McaConnect has 100 employees although it's not clear from the press release if that is before or after the addition of the SalesMetrix staff. These are firms of recognized quality: both made the Inner Circle for 2013. McaConnect, headed by Claude Watson, was the 2013 Dynamics Partner of the Year for Industry. Dynamics AX reseller mcaConnect of Greenwood Village, Colo., has acquired CRM specialist SalesMetrix of Houston. And there seems to be a trend here since this follows after the announcement earlier this month that Hitachi Consulting, also an AX VAR, had bought CRM firm Customer Effective. Will Moseley, SalesMetrix's president, will become mcaConnect's SVP of sales and marketing, with the entire employee and leadership team moving to the new corporate home.
