"We had completed the leadership transition in a three-year period. Now, I plan to do some independent consulting with partners," Hendrickson said in response to an inquiry. Hendrickson founded Business MicroVar in the Minneapolis, Minn., area, in 1989. The company, which carried Dynamics and Open Systems products, would later be known as Interdyn BMI. After the acquisition by Denmark-based Columbus, BMI restored its parent's operations in North America to growth. Hendrickson became SVP of business transformation for Columbus in April 2017 and his position with BMI was taken by Keld Jersild Olsen, who is GM for Columbus North America.
