The target company has 10 offices and more than 300 employees in markets in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific. TXT products cover planning, designing, buying, distributing and delivering assortments through every stage and are said to be highly complementary to Aptos' core merchandising and enterprise order management technologies. Spun off from Epicor two years ago, Aptos is owned by Apax Partners, which owned Epicor until selling that company to KKR a year ago.

Aptos, once Epicor Software's retail application arm, has reached an agreement to acquire TXT Retail. Based in Milan, Italy, TXT retail provides end-to-end applications for the apparel, luxury, specialty and general retail sectors. Terms were not disclosed.
